Some identifiers (e.g. mbedtls_free) can name either functions or
macros depending on configuration settings. For those that turn out
to name macros, first clear out any existing macro definitions to
accommodate possible unconditional bulk symbol renaming. (There
remains no standard provision for such renaming, but it's nevertheless
straightforward enough to do as desired, particularly with this change
in place.)

Add a platform function mbedtls_setbuf(), defaulting to setbuf().
The intent is to allow disabling stdio buffering when reading or writing
files with sensitive data, because this exposes the sensitive data to a
subsequent memory disclosure vulnerability.

MBEDTLS_HAVE_TIME is documented as: "System has time.h and time()."
If that is not defined, do not attempt to include time.h.
A particular problem is platform-time.h, which should only be included if
MBEDTLS_HAVE_TIME is defined, which makes everything messier. Maybe it
should be refactored to have the check inside the header.

Resolve conflicts by performing the following operations:
- Reject changes related to building a crypto submodule, since Mbed
Crypto is the crypto submodule.
- Reject X.509, NET, and SSL changes.
- Reject changes to README, as Mbed Crypto is a different project from
Mbed TLS, with a different README.
- Avoid adding mention of ssl-opt.sh in a comment near some modified
code in include/CMakeLists.txt (around where ENABLE_TESTING as added).
- Align config.pl in Mbed TLS with config.pl in Mbed Crypto where PSA
options are concerned, to make future merging easier. There is no
reason for the two to be different in this regard, now that Mbed TLS
always depends on Mbed Crypto. Remaining differences are only the
PSA_CRYPTO_KEY_FILE_ID_ENCODES_OWNER option and the absence of X.509,
NET, and SSL related options in Mbed Crypto's config.pl.
- Align config.h in Mbed Crypto with Mbed TLS's copy, with a few notable
exceptions:
- Leave CMAC on by default.
- Leave storage on by default (including ITS emulation).
- Avoid documenting the PSA Crypto API as is in beta stage in
documentation for MBEDTLS_PSA_CRYPTO_C.
The only remaining differences are a lack of X.509, NET, and SSL
options in Mbed Crypto's config.h, as well as an additional
Mbed-Crypto-specific PSA_CRYPTO_KEY_FILE_ID_ENCODES_OWNER option.
Documentation for the check params feature and related macros is also
updated to match Mbed TLS's description.
- Reject tests/data_files/Makefile changes to generate DER versions of
CRTs and keys, as none of those are used by Mbed Crypto tests.
- Add the "no PEM and no filesystem" test to all.sh, without ssl-opt.sh
run, as Mbed Crypto doesn't have ssl-opt.sh. Also remove use of PSA
Crypto storage and ITS emulation, since those depend on filesystem
support.
- Reject addition of test when no ciphersuites have MAC to all.sh, as
the option being tested, MBEDTLS_SSL_SOME_MODES_USE_MAC, is not
present in Mbed Crypto.
- Use baremetal config in all.sh, as Mbed Crypto's baremetal
configuration does exclude the net module (as it doesn't exist in Mbed
Crypto)
- Reject cmake_subproject_build changes, continuing to link only
libmbedcrypto.
- Reject changes to visualc and associated templates. Mbed Crypto
doesn't need additional logic to handle submodule-sourced headers.
- Avoid adding fuzzers from Mbed TLS. The only relevant fuzzers are the
privkey and pubkey fuzzers, but non-trivial work would be required to
integrate those into Mbed Crypto (more than is comfortable in a merge
commit).
- Reject addition of Docker wrappers for compat.sh and ssl-opt.sh, as
those are not present in Mbed Crypto.
- Remove calls to SSL-related scripts from basic-in-docker.sh
Fix test errors by performing the following:
- Avoid using a link that Doxygen can't seem to resolve in Mbed Crypto,
but can resolve in Mbed TLS. In documentation for

To help the build system find the correct include files, paths starting
with "mbedtls/" or "psa/" must be used. Otherwise, you can run into
build failures like the following when building Mbed Crypto as a
submodule.

Includes for ALT implementations are not modified, as the alt headers
are provided by system integrators and not Mbed TLS or Mbed Crypto.
It turns out that in some environments MinGW esposes a non-conforming
(v)snprintf behavior despite the tests against the MSVC runtime pass.
Therefore it has been included in the "non-conforming" scope alongide
older MSVC rungime environments.
Rename the PLATFORM HW error, to avoid ABI breakage with Mbed OS.
The value changed as well, as previous value was not in the range of
Mbed TLS low level error codes.
When MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_MEMORY is defined but MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_FREE_MACRO or
MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_CALLOC_MACRO are not defined then the actual functions
used to allocate and free memory are stored in function pointers.
These pointers are exposed to the caller, and it means that the caller
and the library have to share a data section.
In TF-A, we execute in a very constrained environment, where some images
are executed from ROM and other images are executed from SRAM. The
images that are executed from ROM cannot be modified. The SRAM size
is very small and we are moving libraries to the ROM that can be shared
between the different SRAM images. These SRAM images could import all the
symbols used in mbedtls, but it would create an undesirable hard binary
dependency between the different images. For this reason, all the library
functions in ROM are accesed using a jump table whose base address is
known, allowing the images to execute with different versions of the ROM.
This commit changes the function pointers to actual functions,
so that the SRAM images only have to use the new exported symbols
(mbedtls_calloc and mbedtls_free) using the jump table. In
our scenario, mbedtls_platform_set_calloc_free is called from
mbedtls_memory_buffer_alloc_init which initializes the function pointers
to the internal buffer_alloc_calloc and buffer_alloc_free functions.
No functional changes to mbedtls_memory_buffer_alloc_init.

platform.h defines MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_STD_SNPRINTF based on _WIN32. But while defining macro mbedtls_snprintf it sets it to STD C snprintf that is deprecated on Windows.
- Rephrase file/function/parameter/enum/define/error descriptions into full
and clear sentences.
- Make sure to adhere to the Arm writing guidelines.
- Fix missing/incorrect Doxygen tags.
- Standardize terminology used within the file.

Rename the macro MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_SETUP_ALT to
MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_SETUP_TEARDOWN_ALT to make the name more descriptive
as this macro enables/disables both functions.
Add the following two functions to allow platform setup and teardown
operations for the full library to be hooked in:
* mbedtls_platform_setup()
* mbedtls_platform_teardown()
An mbedtls_platform_context C structure is also added and two internal
functions that are called by the corresponding setup and teardown
functions above:
* mbedtls_internal_platform_setup()
* mbedtls_internal_plartform_teardown()
Finally, the macro MBEDTLS_PLATFORM_SETUP_ALT is also added to allow
mbedtls_platform_context and internal function to be overriden by the
user as needed for a platform.
Separates platform time abstraction into it's own header from the
general platform abstraction as both depend on different build options.
